LYRICS OF THE 1st ALBUM “GREEN IS PEACE” (1989)

Green Is Peace  (McAnthony)

On a sunny day, walking down the way, seeing birds on rocks and flowers / my hope is spinning ‘round and I’m afraid to lose the sound of birds singing symphonies on a green and shady tree

Dirt is all around, trees keep falling down, and it makes me really wonder / it is not easy to refrain but love remains and love will lead us through these grey days, mhm

Green will be our world forever, Green will save us all together for Green is Peace and Peace is what we need / grey is not a future, baby, hand in hand  we’ll stop it and maybe Mother Nature’s love is going to carry on

On my way again, gotta look for friends, some who really stand beside me and by me / then I will carry on to sing my plain and simple songs of “Greenpeace” and “Amnesty” all along my way

The Birthday of Country Music(McAnthony)

I gonna tell you now how the thing begun / as I remember it was such a fun / they came together, red and black and white and yellow men / singing their own home songs from their fatherland

That was the birthday of country music, we celebrate the good old country song / oh yes the birthday of country music, sing it with a spirit, sing it all together all along

There were the Indians singing yippiajie, and then the black men hallahullawe / and then tyrolian people hollalejity, every one was happy, every one felt free

That was the birthday of country music, we celebrate the good old country song / oh yes the birthday of country music, sing it with a spirit, sing it all together all along

Fatherland(McAnthony)

Crosby was a young boy when he tried to think about his own Fatherland, Crosby loved it more and more and he liked to stay there in his Fatherland

He lived in a small town where he learned to work the whole day long to raise a family / and he could find the answer and the way of feeling satisfied, feeling free

Walking through the lonely forests there above the hill in his Fatherland / laying down on the green green grass feeling warm in his Fatherland

Crosby looked around himself and saw there other people from the foreign land / Crosby let them stay around and live with you in peace in your Fatherland

The years are passing by and people still kill for their Fatherland / sooner as you think you realize it’s a way that you can’t stand

Chicago’s Saturdaynight(McAnthony)

Sweet and tender moving around, young ladies dancing to the sound / people are so happy in Chicago’s Saturdaynights

Everybody’s playing Jazz and Dixieland, I can hear the sound of a One Man Band / let’s go back together to Chicago’s Saturdaynights

The Rocking Rollers of our days are coming from a Chicago, Chicago, Chicago place

Step by step always with a swing / a long brown cigarette a hat with a wing / people take it easy in Chicago’s Saturdaynights

1930’s where’ve you gone / you’re so far but your style goes on / people still remember your Chicago’s Saturdaynights

Everybody’s playing Jazz and Dixieland, I can hear the sound of a One Man Band / let’s go back together to Chicago’s Saturdaynights

I Like To Thank You Lord(McAnthony)

There’s a long and winding road that’s leading me right to You / there’s a time everyday for a good thought / once again you have given me a chance to start, and I say that I just like to thank You Lord

One more time I can see my life time rolling by / one more time I can see I’m not alone / every day little wonders are shining through my world, and I think that I just like to thank You Lord

It’s so hard to find a good friend at this time who is leading you through and changes your mind / and Jesus was sent, he was sent to lead us till the end / well it’s a wonder wonder wonder he’s my friend

Lord I know that You have given me friends to go with me / who understand me till the time I go to You / please be with them every day and night until the end / Lord I like to thank You for all my friends

It’s so hard to find a good friend at this time who is leading you through and changes your mind / and Jesus was sent, he was sent to lead us till the end / well it’s a wonder wonder wonder he’s my friend

The Old Guy(McAnthony)

On his door you can’t read his name / on his window you can’t see no flowers / now and then you can see him walking through the rain, up and down for many hours

His eyes sometimes look so tired, his heart is deep down inside / this old guy is living upstairs all alone, trying to hide

But then late at night when he’s lonely and he is singing his songs, his guitar is all he is holding and his music makes him go on

His hair is as white as a pillow, his skin not smooth anymore / though he seems to be a nice fellow when he greets you out on the floor

On his window you can’t see no flowers, on his door bell you can’t see his name / now and then he is walking up and down for some hours, out on the street in the rain

But then late at night when he’s lonely and he is singing his songs, his guitar is all he is holding and his music makes him go on

My Love Song(McAnthony)

Every time I see you the rain is stopping and the sun shines / I just love you yes I do, that’s the reason why I’m feeling fine

I feel like flying through the air, oh my love we are a funny pair / Oh please my baby don’t you cry, I’ll stay by your side everywhere and every time, babe you are mine / loving you is all I do and I count on you, loving you

You’re my babe I’m your man / there are no other ladies other boys / I will love you till the end, that’s the way I feel you are my choice

I feel like flying through the air, oh my love we are a funny pair / Oh please my baby don’t you cry, I’ll stay by your side everywhere and every time, babe you are mine / loving you is all I do and I count on you, loving you

Rolling Up And Down (McAnthony)

You’re just waiting for a good song every day and night, for something that is moving your legs from left to right / and it’s going on when the beat is rolling on / for now start rolling up and rolling down when this song is going on

Sometimes I remember people all around waiting for a good song and for a special sound / then I played the Rock ‘n’Roll, and the show was going on / for now start rolling up and rolling down when this song is going on

Having one more reason to play this way, having one more reason well I have got to stay here among you / so that the blues is going on / for I’m happy and I like it that this song is going on

Having one more reason to play this way, having one more reason well I have got to stay here among you / so that the blues is going on / for I’m happy and I like it that the song is going on, song is going on, the beat is rolling on

Midnight Blues (McAnthony)

Shining lights are coming out from the sky, waiting for the night, waiting for night / well it’s the heavenly blues when the light is fading down to sleep and the night is keeping to roll it on / yeah it’s the heavenly blues when the moon is smiling from the sky but the winner will be the dawn, will be the dawn

It’s the midnight blues and the night is rolling on

Once again, once again the stars are humming their good old songs, they just carry on with their midnight blues, the midnight blues

It’s the midnight blues and the night is rolling on

Once again, once again the stars are humming their good old songs, they just carry on with their midnight blues, the midnight blues

And now the night is fading away, and up the hill is waiting a warm sunny day, a warm sunny day, a warm sunny day

African Symphony(McAnthony)

I think about the time I lived a long way from here / and now I just look back again and I see that life goes on

There were good times to remember and bad times all the same, many wonders I could see / and the people were working and living with me and singing an African Symphony

The people down in Africa they meant so much to me, and while we sang our simple songs we lived in harmony

There were good times to remember and bad times all the same, many wonders I could see / and the people were working and living with me and singing an African Symphony

A Cowboy’s Dream(McAnthony)

Everybody just the same is having his own dreams about money, ladies, cars and big machines / though there is one kind of people with another mind and I just call them cowboys of our time

For they are working all day long to get some living, some food / but there is still some time for having day dreams / lonely skies, windy forests, a pet, a guitar, mhm, a cowboy’s dream, mhm, a cowboy’s dream

Living up there in Canada or in the Southern Land, having time to wonder up the hill / Seeing bears and other animals until the light is getting out / then saying a prayer and telling the Lord about

Living now another life full of fantasy and peace all right, a cowboy’s dream, mhm, a cowboy’s dream

Amnesty’s Hymn(McAnthony)

Looking for reasons looking for a better way, striving for good things, for some better days / dreaming of freedom all around the globe

Sometimes injustice some bad disgrace is shouting to heaven for some better ways, calling for freedom, freedom for us all

As long as we’re dreaming, of freedom all around in very human ways / hope for the next days, for the human race / as long as we’re fighting for the human rights and for a single man, we will be hearing, this Amnesty’s Hymn

There are still people all over our land, carrying their own cross but thinking of the other man / fighting for freedom, fighting for the hymn / call them old-fashioned, you have misunderstood, they fight together so I call them good / dreaming of freedom all around the globe

As long as we’re dreaming, of freedom all around in very human ways / hope for the next days, for the human race / as long as we’re fighting for the human rights and for a single man, we will be hearing, this Amnesty’s Hymn
